Cookie Policy

Every cookie this site sets, what it does, and the one third-party request that needs your say-so. The list below was taken from the running site, not from a template.

The short version

Two cookies, both required for the site to function. No analytics. No advertising. No trackers of any kind. The only thing we ask about is whether your browser may fetch our typefaces from Google.

What we set

Strictly necessary

• laravel-session — a session identifier so the server can recognise a sequence of requests as one visit. Expires when your session ends.
• XSRF-TOKEN — a security token that stops another site submitting forms to us in your name. Expires with the session.

These carry no advertising identifier and are read by nobody but this site. Under the ePrivacy rules they are exempt from consent, because without them the site you asked for cannot be delivered. That is also why the banner does not offer to turn them off: an option that cannot honestly be honoured is worse than no option.

Your consent choice

When you answer the banner, the answer is written to your browser’s local storage under coherence.consent. It records only your choice and when you made it. It is not a cookie and is never sent to our server — but it is storage on your device, so we would rather name it than leave it unmentioned.

Web fonts

The site is set in Sora, Instrument Sans and Azeret Mono, served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser connects to Google, and that connection carries your IP address. No cookie is set by it, but an IP address is personal data, so it is your decision rather than ours.

Decline and no request is made — not the stylesheet, not the font files, not even a pre-connection. The site falls back to the typefaces already on your device and everything still works.

Changing your mind

Reopen your cookie choices at any time. Withdrawing consent is meant to be exactly as easy as giving it, so it is one link on every page rather than an email you have to write.

You can also clear or block storage in your browser settings. If you clear it, the banner will ask again on your next visit, because your answer lived in the thing you cleared.

If this changes

If we ever add something that sets a cookie or calls a third party — analytics, an embedded video, a chat widget — it goes in this list and behind the banner before it goes on the site, not afterwards.
